Dr. Rodrigo España Takes Part in the IV Health Day in the White Villages of Málaga

Last Friday, Dr. Rodrigo España, urologist and specialist in andrology and prostate surgery at Andrología Málaga, took part in the IV Health Day, held in the beautiful setting of the White Villages of Málaga, specifically in the town of Casares.

The event brought together healthcare professionals and local residents to promote health education and wellbeing in rural communities, making medical knowledge more accessible and understandable.

During his talk, titled “What the Body Keeps Silent and Gender Shapes”, Dr. España addressed a topic that is both relevant and often overlooked: andropause, or late-onset hypogonadism.
He clearly explained what happens in the male body as testosterone levels decline with age, how to recognize the symptoms, and the best medical and lifestyle approaches to maintain a healthy and active life in later years.

“Speaking about andropause means talking about overall health. It’s not just about hormones—it’s about physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing,” emphasized Dr. España during his presentation.

With initiatives like this, Andrología Málaga and the TAUS Clinics Group reaffirm their commitment to men’s health education and prevention, bringing medical knowledge beyond hospitals and clinics and closer to the community.
