During the 37th Congress of the Andalusian Urology Association (AAU), Dr. Rodrigo España Navarro (MD, FEBU), Medical Director of Andrología Málaga, had a prominent role in this annual meeting that brings together urologists from across Andalusia to share the latest advances, knowledge, and experiences in the field of urology.
At the Andrology Panel, Dr. España presented the lecture titled “Erectile Dysfunction: An Early Marker of Cardiovascular Dysfunction?”, in which he addressed the relationship between sexual health and cardiovascular risk, highlighting the importance of a comprehensive approach in patient diagnosis.
In addition, Dr. España and his team from the Málaga University Regional Hospital were recognized with two awards for best scientific communication:
- Andrology and Transplants → “Evaluation of Cardiovascular Risk in Patients with Erectile Dysfunction”, a study exploring the connection between erectile function and vascular health.
- BPH (Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia) → “Factors Associated with Achieving the Trifecta in Patients Undergoing HoLEP: A Prospective Cohort Study”, research analyzing the factors that influence optimal outcomes after laser prostate surgery.
